Twinz! Pro V3 - Complete Version
|
Updated version of my original game, lots more graphics, newer interface,
and more game styles. Click image to Enlarge.

Just as this version was ready to be released, I received a piece of mail from France with a couple of blank disks.
Here, Twinz! had made it onto their coverdisk as the main game, along with a brief review. Paul Burkey's PilesOTiles
was also reviewed in the same magazine =)) When I locate the magazine, I will scan the pages and upload them here,
I can't even find the issue online to link to it =(
Lots more improvements in this final release of the game. Added a few more tiles, more bonus items (including board
shuffling, restarting level etc.), lots of

flashy animations and boxes for doing stuff like scoring 2, 3 and 5 pairs in a row, for each bonus type there was
an animation, re-wrote the text-box routine to be much more usefull, lots of intro screens.
I was also able to increase the speed a little bit more, due to some hardcore code cleanup I did to implement the
new features of the game. I also added a couple more levels to the game, and re-wrote the front-end again to use
a new modern-style interface, which involved the player scrolling through his option of choice with the mouse.
Looks pretty neat when you see it in action.

the game for the longest of time, I decided to release it as freeware, pretty much because noone was interested
in these kind of games much, and most of these types of game were freely available anyways. Id visited local Amiga
shops in the area and found the demo copies of Twinz! in there bins, so i'd give them full copies of the game to
distribute for me. It worked quite well for a while, id bring 10 disks a week to some places.
So far, I haven't updated the game any further at all. If I did, it would be a PC version with full 24-bit graphics.
A lot better than the cheesy 32-colours the original was worked in.

I know also a PC version of PilesOTiles is on it's way from Paul, so there will be no market for another Twinz!
clone!!
